Newquay Cornwall Airport lies in the north region of Cornwall, 4.8 km north-east of the city of Newquay. The site has recently been acquired for commercial flights after belonging for many years to the RAF St. Mawgan and was heavily used by the U.S. Air Force as a strategic nuclear bomber base. The large runway was designed for military aircraft and can now handle jumbo jet civilian air traffic. Newquay Cornwall, airport code NQY, can be reached by car from the A30 motorway to the A39 junction. Western Greyhound bus service connects travellers from the nearby villages to the airport.

Within the terminal, passengers will find local crafts, food items and souvenirs for sale at the Destination Cornwall retail outlet. The Horizons Cafe offers sandwiches, snacks, beer, wine and coffee. Patrons may utilize the free Internet service.
